CITY POST’S COVID-SAFE POLICY

COVID-Safe Risk Mitigation Plan 

As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to develop, the safety and health of all clients and staff is paramount. This notice sets out some further information on the Coronavirus and how we intend to respond to it.

Facilities

We are taking the following steps  –

·       Upon entry, visitors or staff will sanitize hands and sign in.

·       Sign in can also be done using the QR code via your mobile app.

·       Hand-sanitizer will be readily available in all edit suites and production desks.

·       Daily disinfecting of surfaces and door handles in shared kitchen area. We are also using disinfectants to regularly clean commonly touched items such as toilet doorknobs,  desktops, handrails and keyboards.

·       Additional disinfectant and cloths are provided in the general office area.

·       Current regulations require all staff to wear masks at all times.

·       Reducing the number of people in the office, only meeting in person if necessary otherwise via email, phone calls, Facetime/Zoom calls.

·       Where practical Editors should operate alone in an edit suite. All rooms have signs indicating the maximum number of people allowed in each room.

·       Current best practice for social distancing procedures is to maintain a minimum 1.5 metre distance between yourself and other colleagues. 

·       All workers to complete COVID-19 Infection Control Induction before beginning work on the premises (this includes hygiene protocols and physical distancing requirements)

·       Digital thermometers are available at the hand cleaning station at the top of the stairs.

·       It is recommended that each person have their temperature checked daily.

Personal steps

Please - 

·       Wash your hands regularly and use the hand-sanitizer provided.

·       Cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve if coughing.

·       Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards.

·       Avoid handshakes and unnecessary physical contact.

·       Do not come in to work and seek medical advice if you have any symptoms (especially fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath). See symptoms list attached.

·       If you care concerned about your temperature or feeling ill, please use the digital thermometers which are located at the hand cleaning stations.

·       Alert Wayne Hyett or Nadia Diggins if you have any symptoms or are concerned that you may have had contact with anyone diagnosed with Coronavirus. 

·       It may be necessary to self-isolate (or practice ‘Social Distancing’) for a certain period. We will follow the protocols for Incident Management and Response in the attached diagram and discuss with you any arrangements through this period. 

External Visitors

·       Should a signature be required from a courier, please ask the courier to stay in the foyer, leave the package on the table in the foyer, and request that the courier signs on your behalf so that you do not need to handle the courier’s tracking/authorisation devices. 

·       Any subcontractors/visitors to be shown this Covid-19 response advice upon entry if working onsite. All visitors must sign in. 

Further Developments

We are continuing to monitor both the health of our staff and the Coronavirus situation more generally. We are following the advice of governments and public health authorities. If it becomes necessary to close the office temporarily we will do so, and we will provide further advice at the time.

We will continue to update staff on further developments as and when available.

Incident Management and Response:

In a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, the production will follow the incident and management response flowchart attached.
